Winter is here.

This last week we received our first snow fall.  I guess I can officially say that winter is here.  Of course, winter isn't my first choice when it comes to seasons, but it is fun to have an excuse for snuggling up and drinking lots of tea.  Plus, you can't beat a white Christmas!

It's crazy to think that the season has arrived in which my baby will be born.  Time sure does fly.

S(n)o(w) Magical

The first snowfall of the season is upon us.  It's not accumulating and who knows how long it will last.  But, it was quite magical working in the lab this morning while listening to Christmas music and sneaking peeks at the snow flurries.  It brightened my day, for that I am thankful.  (Since I had to restart part of a final project that I worked on for hours (and hours) before it cracked.)  That white stuff just has a way of reminding me about the beauty of fresh starts, even when the start comes after a failure.
The chilly day. Flurries are falling, but they are invisible to the camera's eye.
